Our one-to-one reading program is a proven "back to the basics" method developed by the elite Academic AssociatesTM and is practiced in many countries around the world and over 230 centers and schools across the United States. Students who go through our program typically gain two to four reading grade levels in just 30-60 hours.

Students are gently led through a series of easy steps. Using the right phonics approach, students will read correctly and efficiently. As they read, they are taught simple, effective techniques for understanding what they read. Reading becomes a logical and uncomplicated process. If this sounds simple, it is!

Students receive instruction at least twice a week for one hour per session.

IT WORKS!

In lesson one, nearly every student, even those with severe learning disabilities, will read at least 300 words. By lesson 13, most fifth-graders through adults read and spell college-level words, and comprehend material written in their own grade-level or higher.

Our philosophy is simple: Teach at a pace where the student can understand and master each level before moving on to the next. This way, students can succeed and feel successful and be motivated to learn more, attaining even more mastery...and more success!

OUR READING ASSESSMENT IS ALWAYS FREE. Along with your free assessment, you will also receive a thorough and FREE CONSULTATION with NO OBLIGATION. This is regardless of whether or not you choose to enroll in the program. Other centers charge up to $200 for the initial assessment and may also charge you for a consultation.
ONE-to-ONE INSTRUCTION
Get the quality, individualized instruction you need. We want to help you and give you the attention you need during your time.
Our qualified instructors are patient, caring, and professional. Our goal is to help enable each student to reach his or her full potential through the mastery of reading.
(Paired or small group instruction is offered at a reduced rate when available.)
NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
There are NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS committing you to stay enrolled in the program. Commitments are month-to-month with NO PENALTY to terminate service. We are confident in our program and want you to share in that confidence and feel comfortable about enrolling. The results will speak for itself.
PROVEN EFFECTIVE
Students and parents see a difference after the first session and students may even begin to increase their reading ability after only two short lessons.
Whether a struggling, gifted, or learning disabled reader, our program has shown to yield results.
Many of our students who are diagnosed with dyslexia, auditory discrimination or other learning difficulties have overcome their disabilities and are now able to read well.
Our students who are advanced readers still continue to increase several grade levels in reading and are able to comprehend more complex material to suit their level. No other method has ever been so effective.
We pride ourselves in teaching, not just tutoring.
Parent Welcome to Sit In
We encourage, but do not require, parent/support person to sit-in on sessions. Other centers do not allow observers in, nor involvement with, sessions and sit in a clearly separate waiting area.
POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE
Learning is best when students are comfortable and are taught by an understanding professional. That's what you'll find at Alpha Reading Center. Students will not be judged, but be challenged in a warm, comfortable environment by a caring teacher. A short break may be taken at the midpoint of the session.

TEACHING vs. TUTORING

We teach our students using a proven curriculum. Students will not just get a lesson to get them through the week, but will be given the skills and the confidence to help them be independent readers and independent learners.
